These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the ManageSubs app for iOS ("the app"). By downloading or using ManageSubs, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. We've kept this readable on purpose — no walls of fine print.
In plain terms: Use the app responsibly, paid features are billed through Apple, and ManageSubs is a tracking tool — not financial advice. The full detail is below.
1. Use of the App
ManageSubs is a personal tool for tracking your own subscriptions, prices, and budgets. You may use it on the Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or any related services
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the app
You are responsible for the data you enter and for keeping your device secure. ManageSubs stores your data on your device and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud account — keeping a backup is your responsibility.
2. Purchases & Subscription Billing
ManageSubs is free to download. Some features may require a one-time purchase or a paid subscription. All purchases are made through Apple's In-App Purchase and are charged to the Apple ID used on your device.
- Billing & renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the price and interval shown at the time of purchase, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Managing & cancelling. You can view, change, or cancel any subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple, so refund requests are subject to Apple's refund policy. We are not able to process refunds directly.
- Price changes. If the price of a paid subscription changes, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before the change takes effect.
To be clear: ManageSubs helps you track the subscriptions you pay to other companies. We do not bill you on behalf of Netflix, Spotify, or any other service, and we do not have access to those accounts.
3. Not Financial Advice
ManageSubs is an organizational and tracking tool. Spending figures, projections, and insights are estimates based on the data you enter and are provided for informational purposes only. They are not financial, accounting, or tax advice. Always verify important figures against your own records before making decisions.
4. No Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected, or that the data and calculations it produces will be completely accurate.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ManageSubs and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or missed savings — arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app (if any) in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
6. Changes to the App & These Terms
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the app at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; when we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer of ManageSubs is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the app will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your own place of residence.
